I became a mother at 21. At 40 I have a 19-year-old son. I was able to do everything with him growing up. I was young and spry and capable. I had the help of my parents who was younger and much more able. The longer you wait the more possibility your child will have developmental difficulties and you won't be able to take care of them. As a woman who didn't intend on getting pregnant young I do recommend it. Also does she not intend on telling her own child to reproduce young? Because unless her child doesn't reproduce young she will meet her grandchild. She had her child at 51 let's say her child waits till they're 21 she'll be 72. She's rich. She's probably going to live to somewhere in her '90s. She will meet her grandchildren unless her kid waits till they're 51 to have kids too.

A couple of years ago I had a real problem with oversleeping and I'm very thankful for my supervisor who tolerated it so much. It was such a problem, like really you can't imagine. My entire life I was having trouble because oftentimes I just don't hear my alarm clock, no matter how loud. It's not like I'm staying up super late either, but eventually I just had to realize "okay, apparently I do need my 8 hours in order to wake up on time." So the only logical solution was: go to bed at 10PM. No scrolling, no last round of online gaming, nothing. And now I am almost never late to work again. Last year I only overslept twice, when 2 years ago I came in late like 20 times You just have to figure it out no matter what. It's your job. If you're not facing support from anyone, in a certain way your life depends on it so make it work!

She's right, though. If you delay it, you may never have them. Things that you don't foresee can happen. My ex-wife waited too long and she cannot have children. She's had three miscarriages that she's told me about. I feel bad for her. Additionally, the older you have them the less energy you'll have for them later in life. I cannot imagine still looking after kids while in your late-forties and early-fifties. By then, life has had its way with you. That is what will happen if you wait until your thirties to have them - assuming you actually still can have them then. Just food for thought.

For women to have happy healthy families early they need to let go of this notion that they can have it all. Not have a h0e phase. Stop thinking they are all perfect 10s and be more interested in long term connection instead of short term fun.

Look, that’s all good and fine, but the fact remains that not everyone has a life partner when they are young to have children with, and even those that do, may not be in a place health wise or financially to do so either, and that is OK. The goal shouldn’t be to pop out as many kids as you can as young as you can. The goal should be to build a healthy family, and that sometimes takes more time for some people than others.

When Mary pointed out that Campbell wont be there to see her grandchildren it struck me. I had my first kid at 22. My daughter had her first at 21. These are not ridiculous ages! Now at 46 i have 2 grandchildren and its wonderful.

I would do almost anything to go back to High School and readjust my priorities w.r.t. having a family... But life's like an hourglass glued to the table.

Your time, youthful energy, and an intact family are the most important assets you have to share with your children.

Your TIME with your child is the most valuable thing you can give them. Don’t waste it partying and working in a cube.

In defense of cameras in the gym, I go to a small gym that primarily has powerlifters, Olympic lifters and strongmen working out in this gym for competition purposes. There are people who workout there that don’t compete but many people film their lifts because they have an online coach that they send these videos to for critiques on their form. That is the only excuse I have for cameras in the gym. On the topic of gender segregated gyms, this was actually thing back in the 80s. My mother used to go to a gym called Women’s World where only women worked out and men were not allowed. I have no problem with this if that’s what women want to do but I think the gym is a good place to actually meet someone you’d like to start a relationship like I did. So if they want to segregate themselves fine I just don’t want to hear them crying about not being able to find a decent man then.
